Wow! You're a true master, X90. The painted inner fairing does really change the looks of your bike, and so does that big round left mirror protector. BTW, have you ever built a gas tank from scratch?

Thanks guys, but it is just a bolt on replacement part. XS, I have been working on anything with an engine my whole life(29 years). Bruce, I have not done a scratch tank yet. I need a few more toys in the shop first.

Um can I have a little bit of credit too, because behind every good man is a good woman to do the supervising.

Awesome pic. Good company, beautiful scenery, and a great spring ride. Oh yeah, and thanks, Hotcakes, for keeping x90's nose to the grindstone.

Great looking bike, X-90! Where is that lighthouse? Looks like a good place to catch some fish. : ) Did Hotcakes ride her Rebel out there?

It's the Marblehead Lighthouse(no good fishing on the shore). Hotcakes rode on the Ultra for about 135 miles last night.

I've never been to Marblehead. Looks like a nice place. How far out do you have to go for the good fishing?

Finally made the big decision and bought the pipes for the Ultra. ;D At Christmas I was leaning toward the Rinehart True Duals with the quiet baffles. I looked at thousands of dyno sheets and talked to a lot of dyno tuners, engine builders, technicians, motor heads, etc. My extensive research indicated that the true duals would not yield good dyno numbers with our stage 2 engine combo. WE NEED MORE TORQUE . The bike is now at 75HP and 85TQ on the dyno. The best way to get more torque with our engine combo is a 2 into 1 pipe setup. We should get low 90s on HP and high 90s on torque with a 2 into 1 pipe. I didn't like the idea because the pipes would not look symmetrical on the bike. Looks are important but WE NEED MORE TORQUE . Then I realized that I can not see the pipes when we are riding the bike so who cares what it looks like - WE NEED MORE TORQUE. We will be installing a set of Rinehart 2 into 1 pipes and going back on the dyno soon. ;D

Let us know if you pick up that extra H/P and torque, I'd be interested in knowing if a set of pipes will produce that much increase. I have seen figures on aftermarket pipes where they promise as high as 15% increase in H/P, I have often wondered if it's true. Keep us posted.

The Ultra is in the shop for service. We need a new back tire, the tread left on ours was about .025. I finally installed the Rinehart 2 into 1 pipe, so the bike will also get retuned on the dyno. The pipe is a little louder than I wanted but WE NEED MORE TORQUE. I will post the dyno results when we get the bike back from Roeder's.
