" Well I don't know, but I've been told, a big leg woman ain't got no soul". I can't vouch for what Led Zep says, but I do know the Triumph Bonneville had soul and a big heart to go with it. The Bonneville was the flagship of the Triumph motorcycle line back in the 60s, and the 1970 Bonneville was the last model year of the traditional 650 Bonnie. The Bonneville had a 649cc push rod OHV vertical twin engine with twin Amal concentric carbs and produced 52 hp at 6,500 rpm. Top speed was advertised at 110 mph. The Bonnie was well know for it's handling, it's beautiful profile, and an exhaust note that can't be matched. Suggested list price in 1970 was $1,440.00 US. The Bonneville is a true classic. Here is a prime example of the 1970 Bonneville from The Bike Shed's inventory. www.inventivestudios.co.uk/thebikeshed/70bonnie.html
