Back in the mid to late sixtys when Triumph, BSA and Harley were king, Honda was taking a good run at the market with their small displacement cc bikes. Their logo was " You meet the nicest people on a Honda " One of the bikes that made a good impression was the Honda 305cc Superhawk. The Superhawk was a 305cc 4 stroke twin that produced about 28 h/p, was light and agile, and was capable of burning up the twisties in good fashion. My take on the little bike while I rode it was that it was quick, handled rather well and was reliable. If you know anything about the Lucus electronics that were original equipment on all Brit bikes, then you know what I say when I tell the 305 Superhawk had an electric starter, and lights that actually worked !! Most of the guys I knew who bought the Superhawk never really appreciated the bike for what it was, they tried to alter the exhaust, put on extended front forks to emulate the choppers of the period, and generally trashed the bikes. They never realized they had a genuine Icon of the period. I'd love to have mine back now. www.honda305.com/superhawk/
