I didn't care about the keys in the ignition....I was eye balling the tank bag ;D A Nelson Rigg tank bag at that. I have the exact same bag. Couldn't live without it.

Well before I was a true touring rider I kinda wavered and set my bike up for the road yet I could still get it ready for a local cruise...my early touring days in AZ.. To this day I still like the older bikes...

Well I bought this bike when I was 26 and here I am 30 years later still riding the same bike,well may 31st I will have had the bike 30 years,XS may have had something to do with it:-)Had a few other bikes,kept the mileage down on this one...something about XS's...gets in your blood..can't get rid of that feeling..can't explane...just a smile on the face when ya see your bike ;D

Xscellent site if you own an 1100. I posted a lot of pics in our little group,group rides and a lot on working on them. This is pretty lame..we were running 60-65 till we caught up to another rider who was doing 55...spur of the moment taping,12 year old camera,blue jean jacket on headlight strapped on with bungiee cords ;D My brake light is not always coming on,must be sun cause my reflective tape on my luggage lit up also. Don..a memeber of our groupSWOXS(southwest Ohio XS) went down today on RT 8 in northern KY,broken leg and several ribs...in surgery tonite so send some prayers or vibes his way ..thanks.

Well this winter my cam chain adjuster started to leak a little,sorta like a Harley marking it's spot,so I thought an external fix,being a backyard mechanic,would take care of the problem...just a quick ride on my gravel driveway,a few miles on the road to bake the mixture on,and the next time I ride in the rain to wash off the excess...problem cured.Sorta of a Jeffe exhaust cure ;D ;D Wish I were back here in Wyoming...........
