Today I rode the length of Ohio's answer to the Tail of the Dragon - The Triple Nickel. This is Ohio route 555 between the Ohio river and Zanesville. It was a perfect weather day for riding with a cool morning warming to a nice afternoon. I rode the length of 555 heading northbound from Little Hocking Ohio to Zanesville. One section was under construction between Route 37 and Zanesville and was being chip and sealed . I took a detour west on 37 to north on 93 and back to Zanesville via 22. Then I went north on 60 out of Zanesville to Millersburg.
Nice ride. Lots of information on Rt.555 via the internet including some videos. Have a look.
I'll be out again tomorrow. This weather is great.

I have ridden it several times and the last time I believe was in 2010... Then 536 - not many photos - when riding this road you have to focus on riding and not on photography!

Video makes this look like a bunch of wide open high sweep sweeping curves. It is NOT. I believe the wide angle lens give a false impression. These are fairly tight curves and there are a lot of blind crests. Still fun.

Yuppers Dave,it does look like just like an Iowa road, soft and easy but I have seen other videos where it looks hard and cruel and one mistake is not something ya wanna do.
