Rode down to the Wendy's in Miamitown this morning to have coffee with the retired and riding group. There were five other bikes that showed up and about 25 cars in the group. The four other riders wanted me to lead the group...I would have but I had to get to work. It was a nice ride there,15 or so miles on all two lane.It was wet but not bad,on RT 128 when an on coming truck came, alot of them,I vered to the right of the oil slick to keep from getting all the spray from their tires. The only place I had to be extra careful was in New Baltimore when I was crossing the Little Miami bridge, the Forrest Green dump is there and had a lot of mud on the road and I could feel it but just kept it steady and had no problems. Alot of this group go to Florida in the winter otherwise there would have been at least twenty wanting to ride and sometimes they split into two groups. Good people. I got a little dirty but that kinda stuff never bothered me. So Jim while you talk about warm weather and strawberries we got Wendy's coffee and wet roads and curves and twisties and not just straight lines ;D Well I thought the guy on the HD would be on the Wing and the Wing rider on the HD..no wonder the public doesn't understand us.

Bill (Amtrak) Sorry - I did not see this post before today 9/23/13... yep those are the old guys that usually show up to ride every Tuesday from Wendy's. We are Retired and Riding - when I am in Florida in winter these guys are always here!
The inside photo that shows the guy with the red/white and blue hat with stars and his wife sitting next to him - they are currently on the road and have been for over a month. They rode Route 66 all the way to the pacific ocean and from there they have been on a continued ride on their own. Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and currently in Arkansas after riding yesterday the Talimena National Scenic Byway. They plan to be back home in a few days. A note - the old guy USA jacket/with flag on the back and on the new silver Gold Wing is 85 years old and his 2 sons bought the bike for him just like they did the last 2008 Pearl like mine. He is a rider for sure.
The guy on the Harley has well over 100k on his bike and he rides all the time too.
The guy on the red, silver is a rider and probably has 75,000 miles on his new Wing by now.
