If you find yourself on the scenic byway old Ohio Rt 30 near Minerva, you will have to stop for lunch at the Hart Mansion which is located just a block off of old Rt 30. Hart Mansion is a restored mansion dating back to 1869 which has recently been converted into a first class restaurant. The mansion sits high on a hill over looking the bricked main street of the little town of Minerva. And yes, they welcome motorcycle riders. I had an excellent steak, potato and salad there yesterday, the food and service are first class. Here is their web site: www.hartmansionrestaurant.com/Home_Page.htmlAn no, I didn't get paid or get a free meal for this endorsement. ;D

XS, I have been wanting to try this place since I read about it in the Canton Rep. How are the prices? Do you think reservations would be needed on a weekend evening?

I would make reservations to be sure you get seated. The prices ? Not bad, my Delmonte steak was $9.00, my bill for my wife and myself was $23.00 plus tip.

Finally we were able to make it to Hart Mansion. We had a great meal. Nicely restored old home high up on the hill overlooking Minerva and St. Route 183. Not cheap but not to expensive. Nice place for a birthday or anniversary dinner.

No, it's not cheap, but it is something extra special. We spent some time talking to the owner, they put a lot of money and effort into the mansion.
