Nice BSA, shame they could not keep up with the progress being made during the late 60's and early 70's. But on a brighter note for Triumph, they seem to be going from strength to strength, their best ever year for sales was 1967 when they sold 47,000 bikes. well the word from Hinckley is that they have broken that record this year!
Hats off to the guys in Triumph, they are putting out a top quality product that people want to buy.

The bike in the picture is a 1963 which was the last year of the A10 motor. I've had a couple of A65's but they sure don't look as nice.

The A-10 motor with the separate transmission was a beautiful looking set up. The engine looks impressive. Kawasaki had a 650 vertical twin in the 60s that looked to be a copy of the A-10, but didn't last long, there were a lot of problems with the engine like dropping valves...among other things.

Here's a side view of the A10 motor/transmission. They do look like the Kaw.

Should that not be the Kawa looks like the BSA, after all it was a clone of the Brit Iron?

Yeh, it looks like Kawasaki copied the BSA engine, but didn't do as good a job as the Brits did. The Brits had more practice with chrome and engine bits, their chrome and side cases were top notch.

I stand corrected.
