This poll is not meant to start flaming conversations about the merits of wearing or not wearing a helmet, it is only for information about the use of helmets by our members. However if you want to state your opinion, please feel free to do so.
To most of us, use of a helmet is an option, but there are some of us who by law must wear one.

I do , if I didn't I would have left what few good looks I do have smeared on 646 by New Rumley. 25 dollars for a face shield seemed pretty cheap compared to buying a new face.

If I do not wear a helmet I will have lumps on my head from Hotcakes every time I "accidentally" scrape the running boards. ;D

I wear a helmet 99% of the time, and that 1% when I don't wear the helmet, I feel uneasy. There was a time in my life when I didn't wear a helmet at all, but those days are gone forever. I like my nose and face just the way it is.

I too wear mine 99.9%. I guess it just became the norm. And Lightning will YELL if she sees me without one.

Yes - We wear helmets all the time. 24 years ago we were hit by a drunk driver in Wisconsin Dells. If we were not wearing a helmet I would have died on the spot. I even wear a helmet when I put the bike in the garage. I believe a helmet is protection for the brain. One cannot afford to lose all or part of that. Just think - you are on a 2 lane road and a pickup truck crosses the center line and comes right at you in a matter of milliseconds you could be lying in the middle of the road - would you rather have a helmet on or off at that point? That is what happened to me in 1984!
