Having seen some of the photo's uploaded about places you guys have been I am almost embarrassed about my photo's. Although in my defense I only have to ride 20 miles for my shots, not half way across a continent! Anyway was out this morning and took these up between Blessington and SallyGap It's a little flatter between two mountains/hills by your standards! A small stream swelled by continuous rain. A typical dry stone wall from county Wicklow This is a Church of Ireland church in Manor Kilbride I don't know how old. This is the road back toward SallyGap My trusty HD outside the Church

Although in my defense I only have to ride 20 miles for my shots, not half way across a continent! Nothing to be embarrassed about!!! I love seeing your pictures of a country where I have never been. The scenery is beautiful and I love old churches. Over here an old church is maybe 300 years old and in Ohio, I get excited when I see one dating back to the early 1900's...a new structure by European standards! I'd love to see some pics of your famous pubs too! We have bars over here that PRETEND to be Irish pubs. They put some cabbage & potatoes on the menu, some Guinness on draft and give it an Irish-sounding name. Meanwhile, Americans go in, think it's cool and order a Bud Light and a cheeseburger (guilty as charged ;D).

Well, I guess now that xs is paying, pictures of the inside and how you spent his money are a must. I'd like outside pictures too expecially if it is a neat old building. Maybe after you post those I will go on a fact-finding mission to "Mavis Winkles." That is a franchised food and tavern type place that markets as being an Irish Pub. It will be fun to compare the real thing to the American marketing of one!

Well Mrs. Vstrom2up, you could always visit us in Ireland and sample the real thing? I will do my best to remain upright when I am taking some photo's and partaking of some pints!
