We also have put on 55/100 watt bulbs on our bikes. We run country roads a lot so that high beam is great. During the day it's low beam

I always ride with my headlight and spots on during the day. Be visible out there!

I second that Bob I ride with the spots on, an always wear my helmet. I figure three lights are better than one.

Another way to be seen at an intersection is to move from one side of your lane to the other and back again. The eye is better at picking up a lateral movements like that. ...But doing it my way makes me look like a complete idiot. But if you scrape a peg doing it they will think the same thing.
