Welcome to Ride Ohio maxpower, glad to have you with us. Feel free to join in any of our conversations and please post more photos of the Max, it has been one of my favorite bikes since they came on the market. They are awesome bikes. To my knowledge, you are the only member here who owns the mighty Max.
Again, welcome to Ride Ohio.

Welcome! Cool screen name (I got it before even reading the explanation in the other thread). Cool bike too. I agree...black is the new chrome. We are probably going to paint a few things black on the bike I just bought. I think it looks sweet on yours so I'm hoping for the same for mine.

Yep, I'm still on Katriders quite a bit (as 01blewkat) and stop by C.O.R.E. from time to time. I would love to ride one of them little suckers but I'm afraid if I did, it would cost me alot of $. ;D Vstrom2up - thats a sweet sporty. You know what they say, once you go black.hehe. Every H-D has chrome, so black is cooler, and cheaper. If you need a good powdercoater, let me know.

I hear that about black...I guess I am taking "the dark side" literally! One of the reasons I bought it was it's different than the other HD's out there and the retro 50's flat tracker style. Also, I HATE polishing chrome! I am only spraying the gear box and the primary cover black, but thanks for the powder coat offer. I don't want to go into anything too fancy yet. For now, it's just a nice used bike to learn to ride. Although I did find some sweet black pipes that go up under the seat that would really get that flat track look going! They are $800 !

If its anything that gets hot or could get scratched easy, I'd at least consider powder coating. Its really not that expensive and the finish is tough as nails.
