Hi everybody, My name is Chris, from Sheffield in the UK. My bike is a Kawasaki Z750 B1 twin. I've recently bored out to 865cc. I bought the bike new in 1976, for £984, that's $1970 in your money. Not the most popular bike, but then after 31 years you get attatched to a thing. <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u21/chrislwg/DSCN1337.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a><a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u21/chrislwg/DSCN1329.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a>

Hi Chris, good to meet you. Are those current pictures of your Kawasaki? If they are I gotta say, wow! The bike looks showroom new! How is the acceleration, now, with the additional displacement? Buck

Hello Buck, The pictures were taken yesterday, so you could call it recent. In a couple of weeks I'm putting it on a dyno to see what power and torque I'm getting with the bigger engine . Last Sept. I had the bike on the dyno before I fitted the bigger engine to see what I was getting from the standard engine. So I'll be able to do a comparison. Chris

Hi Chris, welcome to Ride Ohio !! The old KZ really looks the biz, I especially like the reverse cone mufflers, where did you get those ? I had a 1979 KZ750 a while back that was in good condition, but the mufflers went away with rust holes forming around the baffles. I have considered buying the bike back, the mufflers were an issue then and now. Again welcome to Ride Ohio, it's good to have another rider from the UK. XS

Thanks for the welcome. The silencers are from a company called Wassell ,and are £50 each, which isn't too expensive to replace when they rust through. These are my second set ,the first lasting 5 years.

I have the Rupp mini bike we bought for my daughter in 1970, it has been in the basement or the garage for 37 years. Does that count ??
