And now my butt will be all nice and shiney But(t) seriously, I saw these things at the bike show at the IX Center in Cleveland. They are gel saddle cushions. I didn't buy one there since the saddle typically doesn't bother me except toward the end of week-long rides and they weren't exactly cheap so I didn't bother. However, they were nice enough to get some information on them just in case. Then this whole ride out west came along and luckily I saved the "Butt Buffer" business card and it had the web site on it. I ordered one and I got it the other day. It's hard to test it for real on a short ride, but it seems pretty nice. If anything, it raises me off the pegs a bit more so it is easier on my knees. I plan on a weekend ride on the 30th for a better test. I'll see if my butt is nice and buffed when I get back And just to beat Bruce/87 to the punch...THE SIZE IS A SMALL!!!

The question is a small what? You know what, that IS a good question! I have a lot for that one, but I probably shouldn't go there!

There was some interest at lunch yesterday about what exactly this Butt Buffer was like and materials used so I took a few pics of it.... This is it on the saddle. This is the bottom of it with the gel insert partially pulled out. You can also go to buttbuffer.com for more info.
