You can vote with an explanation, or just vote.

I can do oil changes and minor stuff... hubby can do some of the rest... but for the most part, it's just easier to take it in to get worked on.
Now, where can I find a place that will wash and detail my bike for me???

There might be a motorcycle detail shop in Alliance someday. ;D

i somehow manage to do most things myself , and sometimes with help or advise from friends . i take the tyres and forks to the local garage , they have all the tools so it's much quicker ... besides they kind of like a motorcycle job after working on cars all day ! the head mechanic also happens to be the current UK grasstrack sidecar champion . and no , i don't go anywhere near a dealer as the nearest one would be a long way off ;D

I do it all myself. Including tires. The only thing I get from a dealer is fork oil.

I don't have a garage so I can't really do big repairs. the condo board would frown over an engine block or final drive sitting on the side walk. If it is something that won't take to long or if I can button It back up while I get time to complete I'm OK. My other problem is that if I take the time to do some things myself I'd never get a chance to ride.

Maybe the phrase"Ride it like you stole it!" applies to that person. I don't spend/waste time trying to make mine look good, but I do keep it mechanically good. Have to send Michelle to a mechanics course so I can check #4 ;D

I voted that my spouse (sometimes referred to as my mechanic) takes care of everything, but that is only if you define it as mechanical. He usually does all but the most complex of things mostly because he doesn't think anybody can do a better job than him . I also think that under the cussing and complaining he sort of likes it. However, I do a lot of the cleaning and detail work that hasn't been much compared to what he does.

I do all my own service unless I get in a big jam with electrical gremlins.
