A "hot air bag" Jeffe ?
I can see where it could help in an accident, but the test dummy's arms and face still took a beating.

You can't avoid all accidents so your best defense is to be a defensive driver, rider.Know that car, truck coming at you,at the stop sign.intersection is gonna wanna cut you off,not see you and if you know that you will be prepared. But I do wear a pretty nice safety jacket:-)

I always wear my helmet, my jacket with body armor, and my boots and gloves. The one time I didn't have my gear on was when I went to the car wash....about 2 miles from my home. My brother spotted me and gave me hell for riding with out gear.
