Go east on Route 518 from Millport to West Point. West Point is supposed to have a memorial to Morgan's Raiders. This is the northernmost point that the Confederate General John Hunt Morgan reached and was captured by Union troops. Super nice road. Let me know if you find the marker, I haven't been able to on two trips. The lady at the post office in West Point claims it is there, but I can't find it.

I can't find it either, but the girl who cuts my hair lives in that area and she knows exactly where it is. I'll see if she can draw me a map. I spent a half a day down there going around in circles last Fall. Nice country tho, so it wasn't a wasted trip.

Not yet. I have been down to that area two times looking for the marker. I even stopped in the post office and asked and received directions but still could not find it. I have not given up yet! This is what it is supposed to look like.

Wonder if it has been removed and replaced with one of the steel markers?

It's still around, the girl who cuts my hair lives near the monument. She drew me a map and I still couldn't find it. But that comes as no surprise, I can't find my way home some days. ;D

The Irish map would only show local land marks, like a farm or a notable public buildings like a library or a civic office, where as a Scottish one would show, chip shops where they deep fry Mars Bars and Pubs where you can get tick as the Scots never pay for anything!

Dave, I'd like to go with you when you go to find the monument. Now I wish I could locate the Civil War cannon they moved from east of Bergholz to a safer location.
