My mechanic finally got working on my motorcycle. His inspiration (although I like to think I am )...the dirt drags in Minerva tonight. If anybody wants to go watch, post up by about 3 and I'll give you directions. Our buddy will also be drag racing a Rhino (no, not the animal) down there. Here's pics of the work in progress. It's all done and street legal now. (he left on it for work this morning before I remembered to take a finished pic, but I'll post that tomorrow from the race). Hey, why is a stator on my kitchen table?!!!

I hope so,xs. It won't be until next year though. I never really rode on pavement much so I want to take a safety course first and learn safe street riding techniques. Might want to go get that pesky bilke endorsement too !

Here's the finished product. Here's a few pictures from the practice runs. It was too dark by the time the actual race started to get pictures. Mr. vs2up lost....to a girl ! However, it was a bracket class so he just had to come closer to his predicted time, but still something good to tease him about! Here's our friend's Rhino on the line. I rode shot-gun a few times down the track and that was fun. Later, we took the Rhino and the WR back in the woods on the harescramble trail and that was a load of fun too. Neither machine ever saw dirt....until last night!

Shoe...It is a load of fun! If you are really interested, I'll let you know next spring when they race again. They will race ANYTHING if you get at least 3 to make a class. Last year we were there and some Amish kids (older teenage boys) were there. They asked and they let them race a horse buggy class! It was the big spectator draw of the night. I am hoping to race the WR in a bracket class next year while Mr VS will race an actual class on it. Should be fun...hope you are into it too. Maybe we can have xs drop his orange hat for a start so we can practice ;D!

Those dirt drags look cool!! Now you need to get some sticky street tires on that WR. Man that would be fun in the twistys.

The drags are fun! I plan to post when we go again in the spring if you're interested. It's down near Minerva. They will race anything as long as you have 3 for a class. We even saw some Amish teenagers race some horse and buggies one time.
