We have it all degreased and defunked. The wiring is finished and the rotation is correct. The air is tapped into the machine and all of the oil tanks are filled. All we need now is the factory technician to show up and finish the set-up. It should be making parts by Tuesday.

Peter, If you need a custom part, let me know. My guys need some school projects.

Holy crap !! You guys didn't mess around getting it set up. I'm sure one of these guys can come up with a project. How about a "Ride Ohio" motorcycle license plate surround...like the ones the dealer always puts on the new bikes.

Do you want the lettering on the bottom or top?

What, you can make one ? Ok, how about "Ride Ohio" on the top and "Ride to Live" or "Live To Ride"... something like that on the bottom ? You had better be careful what you do, everyone is going to want one.

I think that we should put "Ride Ohio" on the bottom and nothing on the top. A lot of bikes have a reflector strip above the license plate and a taller frame will not fit.

Peter, This is a typical custom aluminum handlebar clamp. I just make them larger for a full size bike.

Hmmmm..... What would you charge for a handlebar clamp for my rat Guzzi? I discarded the instrument panel and put the speedo in the headlight shell. I still need a small panel for the indicator lights for the turn signals, oil light, and high beam. Might be neat to have a row of four lights and GUZZI engraved below them.

Great! Thanks! Here are a couple of pics of what I have to work with. Those two lower bolts are mounts for the instrument panel which I'll replace with socket head bolts. I'll need to find some indicator lights and get some dimensions to you. I'm new at this customizing game. Do you have any recommendations for indicator lights? I would like to keep the panel as small as possible and I don't want to extend it much forward because that will obstruct the view of the speedo. I'm leaving in the morning for a few days, so think about it and we'll hopefully get something going. Thanks.

That x-90 rider is such a talented guy. I think I will keep him. Or better yet he is stuck with me.

Bruce,
Use a piece of cardboard for a mock-up panel. Cut it in a shape that works with the lines of the bike. Add the lettering and dots for the lights. Keep changing things around until you end up with a workable design.
