HUNGARIAN motorcyclist Mathyas Balint is the living embodiment of the saying 'age is but a number' after the 85 year-old picked up his brand new Ducati 1199 Panigale S. Balint was immediately attracted to the new Ducati superbike after it was unveiled at the EICMA show last year, so much so that he was the first person to order one at his local dealership. Ducati-fan Mathyas already owns a 1098R and when he arrived to pick up his new superbike machine he said that couldn't wait to get out and ride it, but admitted that he isn't a fan of ABS, as brakes were almost non existent when he started riding and he is already happy with the bite of modern brakes. Do you think you'll still be riding when your 85?

As bad as my knees are getting I doubt it. Unless it has a sidecar.

One of the guys who rides with me on Two Wheel Tuesday at Wendy's just turned 85 in November. He is healthy and loves to ride. His two sons went out and bought him a 2013 Honda Gold Wing to celebrate that milestone. He has not received it yet but should as soon as it gets to the Dealer here in the Cincinnati area. Wish I were able to ride with him when he gets it - BUT - I will probably be in Florida. When he turned 80 his sons bought him a 2008 Pearl White Wing like mine! Health has everything to do with riding at 85!

Great story ! It inspires me to ignore my age and keep riding.
I doubt my kids are going to buy me a new bike. ;D
