Evidently more motorcyclist cry foul than car drivers. When was the last time you saw a safety item like a seat belt removed from an automobile?
Either that or law makers figure we can weed our own out through Darwinism. I won't complain, I rode all day Saturday without a helmet.

I ride without for my own reasons. I agree with many of the article's commenters that point out differences with that article.

Purplespringer....I spent a lot of time and money back in the 1970s supporting ABATE and other organizations who managed to get Ohio's helmet law repealed. I'm glad we have a choice here in Ohio, I hope they don't take that away from us.
The choice to wear a helmet or not to wear a helmet is as important as American home made apple pie.

I ride a motorcycle because of the freedom to be "outside" as much as possible. There is just not the same feeling (for me) in a car or even a convertable. I respect the reasons other's have for wearing a helmet. But I am glad I have a choice. It makes a difference to me.

I consider seat belts a choice. I wear them when and if I want to and not at other times. If I get stopped, we shall make that decision when it happens.
