I hope everyone gets out and rides more this year than last. My mileage for 2011 was slightly less that 12,000 miles - unusual for me!

Get out most weekends and now the evenings are longer will be out and about. All we need now is for it to stop raining!

It seems that there are not a lot of people who actually ride on this forum - or at least do not follow up on polls....!!

We have a lot of people who ride, sorry to say, they just don't take time to participate in polls or posting.

Put in my nickel....only have about 500 in so far this year but almost all my riding are short rides right now.I have a 200 mile ride to Tell City IN I wanna make and a couple of quick overniters to Hocking Hills and Chillicothe and may be Madison IN.But at ten miles after work a couple nights a week it takes time to put on some miles.

We don't need no stinking polls. ;D Sorry.... Couldn't resist. Blazing Saddles! Great quote. I am not retired so work takes up quite a bit of my time, I know XS would not agree with me on this one, however it is a factor. Sometimes the only time to ride is weekends, then of course we have other stuff to deal with. Not making excuses as I ride as often as I can and with the Irish Climate it's nearly always raining, that has to be taken in to account as well. The moral of the story is we all cut our cloth to suit our own lifestyles. I would rather be riding than working, but then I would not be able to afford to ride, catch 22. Work is a necessary evil.

Just busting your chops...
And Bill, the line originally was used in "Treasures of Sierra Madre." Mel Brooks stole the line for Blazing Saddles.

I hope to get in more riding this year. But it has to stop raining! I LOVE the hill riding around Marietta, yet the mud and gravel washouts into the roads can be bad.

Mel Brooks stole a line Naa ... couldn't have. But anyway, I am admittedly one of the ones who just doesn't get online to participate as much as I should. I also didn't ride as much as usual last year. I hope to do better both ways in this year.
