I posted this some time ago, but I want to bring it up again. I have wanted to ride around the Hocking Hills / Logan Ohio / Wayne National Forest area for quite a while.
Since it is quite a distance for me from here (North Canton), I plan to make it an overnight trip. Ride down day 1 and stay over one night to ride the next day and return home. Plan to stay in hotel in Logan area.
No date yet, but would definitely like to get it in this year before the riding season ends.
If anyone is interested in such an adventure, post up here.
I have no experience leading a ride, but would be willing to try to put something together.

Thanks Hondascoot. Have you been to the area before? I have not, so any advice on good roads will be appreciated.

Good roads? Sure but conditions can change. Scouting Parties! Friday night surprise on an often traveled corner was covered in mud from the county cleaning out the ditch earlier that day. It was almost as exciting as riding in the hail that fell shortly after that corner. Putting those scenarios together would have made for a very long evening.

Went there a couple of years ago to meet up with some Harley riders, good people but my buddy and I wanted to do our own exploring. We had good roads the whole way,we did manage to find a gravel road that was about 6 inches deep and NOT packed down...my 1100 was not amused. My buddy and wife went on their Harleys with their group and she hit some gravel, went down and he nicked her bike and he went down,so off to the hospital, road rash, and a few other things but one bike was trashed and the other had to be trailered home:-(They were all right but when I saw them sunday morning ;D the drugs were working and they didn't feel a thing. I have never had problems there...here is a crappy video as we took a blue jean jacket and put it on the headlight of my buddies 700 and strapped a cheap camera. We were moving a lot faster than it looks but we came across the rider in front of me and I stayed back pretty far back and did not push. Yuppers that is me just in front of the camera ;D And no my brake light is not on all the time:-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pCxM3SR8fQ

Thinking about meeting up with a couple of FJR fellers in or around Caldwell on Sunday am. Any interest?

I'm interested but would be more interested if you were going "through" the state forest instead of around it. I already have my trail permit
