Actually, I don't think the bike would be as bad as the car, jjfc00. I saw 2 cars passing and that was some scarey stuff.... they had NO room. We at least had some room since the bike wasn't as wide as a car. The bikes had no problem with the altitude. Here's a pic I took from the bike while riding up....

I am jealous! I would love to see that. Things like that are way more amazing to me than a big skyscraper built with machinery. Are you riding a bike there? I'll be waiting for pictures!

that's the plan , a nice group photo of the site's uk members might be good ! just struggling getting the exhausts to seal with copper gaskets at the minute , otherwise i've fitted the rear rack and i'm ready to roll !! ;D

Is this a long ride for you? What I found it so cool when I was in Europe (unfortunately did not make it to the UK or Ireland) was how old things were there. Here, there oldest things are like under 300 years old. There that's a new place!

well , if i manage to sort my exhausts out , and i might well end up throwing the baby out with the bathwater and fitting a new mac 2 into 1 system instead ... i'd figure on about 300 miles each way ! the only trouble is the need to utilise motorways , which i really hate with a vengance !
