My name is Denny and my "handle" is Reinie and I'm a soon-to-be 58 year old who has been riding motorcycles since 1968, legally since 1970. I have owned at least fifteen different motorcycles in that timespan and enjoyed most of them a lot. Either by luck or skill I have survived some crashes & spills with only a few scars to show for it. I got my wife Cindy to start riding passenger with me a couple years ago and we went to D.C last May and rode in Rolling Thunder, which was a big deal for us. I belong to the American Legion Riders and am a Ride Captain. I do lots of group rides each year. My latest motorcycle is by far the biggest I ever rode. It's a 2010 Triumph Rocket III Touring 2300cc which I am putting a trunk and maybe a fairing on for long distance travelling with Cindy aboard.

We have a lot in common Denny, my name is Denny also, and I'm retired too. Like yourself, I have been riding motorcycles for many years...since 1956 to be exact. I rode Triumph and BSA until the mid 70s when I bought a Yamaha. Two of my favorite bikes were a BSA Gold Star and a BSA Victor Special.
Remind me to tell you how we burned down a Triumph on my wedding anniversary. ;D

I'll try and get some pictures posted, maybe get a pic of my bike as an avatar. I will have to see about how that gets accomplished on your server system. Most of my riding is here in Northwestern Ohio and I do go to other regions in the state, just not as often. I only go out-of-state maybe once or twice a year, but I do rack up 7 or 8 thousand miles a year.

There are complete instructions for uploading photos to this forum on the "Rules and Regulations" page. I have my photobucket sizing set to 75% of their size limits, that makes for a good posting size for this forum. Here is a photo of my bike, the size of the photo is perfect for this forum:

I downloaded the pictures into a zip file and attached that, not so sure it will work though.

The rear backrest in the picture is a quick-detachable unit that came with the bike. In fact everything in the picture except the gel seat pad came with the bike. The rear backrest was replaced with a Wompus Rack which will support a Scootworks Supertrunk III which is a knockoff of a Harley King Tourpack. Whenever that gets mounted I will post new pictures of it.

Welcome from Brimfield, Ohio! You might not find it on a map since we aren't cool enough for our own post office, but we are just south of Kent. Nice bike! I'm glad you posted pictures. We don't like having to read them word thingies around here if we don't gotta .
