I am new here but have been riding "licensed & legally" since 1970. I am retired and belong to the American Legion Riders, currently own & ride a new 2010 Triumph Rocket III Touring bought in September. My wife goes with me on some of the motorcycle trips I take. Last year we rode to Washington D.C. for Rolling Thunder and rode in it. We're not decided yet on this year's adventure. Hopefully we might meet-up with some of you while out and about on the bike.

Welcome to Ride Ohio. We look forward to meeting you on one of our group rides this year. If you look at the map of our members locations you will see we do not have too many in your neck of the woods (Freemont, Toledo, Wapakoneta are the closest). You will learn about twisties on our rides. ;D
How does that Rocket handle? That's a big bike. You must be a big boy to ride that machine. ;D

Welcome to Ride Ohio, we hope you like what you see here, we aren't the biggest rider's group on the web, but one of the best.
That Rocket III is a good looking bike, Dave and myself were looking at one the other day at Park Triumph. Hope to see you on the road this summer. If you have photos, feel free to post them.
Again, welcome to Ride Ohio.

Thanks, the Rocket handles quite well for it's size & weight but I am always aware that I am on a big machine and wouldn't want to have to pick up a 769# wet weight motorcycle. I am currently putting a Scootworks Supertrunk III on the back to make for more luggage space and a nicer backrest for my wife. I just installed the Triumph slip-on accesssory mufflers yesterday, nicer deeper sound and look just like the stock ones. I will get a better idea of how the tires & brakepads hold up this coming season. I have a hunch I will be wearing them out, as much as I ride in a year.

Actually Nettie's right across the street from Danbury-Lakeside H.S. is one of my favorite stops when I am on the peninsula. The Marblehead lighthouse is another.

Welcome !
Nettie's and the MH lighthouse are favorites of ours also. A good friend of ours has a summer home near the Johnson's Island causeway.
Dianna's near Rt. 53 and 163 (just north of Cheesehaven) is also a great place to eat year-round
