The Trish and I went out for a little ride yesterday. She hadn't seen the Serpent Mound in Adams Co. So off we went. Stopped by Kiser Lake in Logan Co. for a pit stop. It's one of our favorite places to take a little break. We ended up taking US68 and across a couple of other state routes to ride near Paint Creek State Park and Rocky Fork State Park. No pictures of those places as we didn't stop. It was some really nice riding though. Any way we ended up on Rt. 41 to Rt 73 to the Serpent mound.

Now the dumb weather man wasn't calling for rain when we left the house but wouldn't ya know we got caught on Rt. 35 in a downpour. We sought refuge under an overpass and waited it out. All in all though it was a good trip through some awsome countryside and some great roads. We had a tick over 300 miles for the day. I would recommend the ride for anyone.

Great photos 87 !! Glad you got out, 300 miles is a good ride ! I've been to the Serpent Mounds, that's beautiful country down there. You seem to attract rain, you should ride this direction and maybe we'll get some rain too. The bikes are looking excellent, how's your FXLR doing since you got it back together ? Thanks for sharing the pics, looks like we all had a good weekend. XS

The bike is running strong as ever. I had to make a repair to the forward controls last week. The bracket that holds the shifter cracked and I had to weld it back together with some added supports but it is working well. Trish's sporty is headed to the shop today for the oil that is blowing out of the carb and soaking the air filter. Should be a warranty repair and we should have it back in a day or so.
BTW: I always give Trish a load of crap about the rain. It seems that whenever she wants to take a long ride we end up in the rain. I didn't pack the rain suits along this time so we got pretty soaked before we got to the overpass. It was over in a half an hour and rode the rest of the way home in sunshine and scattered clouds.
