Yes, I did make a skid plate for my Ossa with a hammer and a chisel. I had nothing to cut the plate steel I bought so I made the rough shape by using a chisel to weaken the steel so that it would crack when I bent it back and forth. Once I hade the basic shape, I used a grinder to clean it up. Then I drew lines where I needed creases and hit the line repeatedly with a rounded chisel while it laid on a piece of carpet. That made some nice creases and bent the steel where I wanted it. Drilled some holes and she bolted up just fine.
I'll bet you didn't even think when you posted that option that anyone would have actually done that did you? ;D

I recycle....after a part falls off I can usually get it to fit someplace else on the bike!!!! ;D

Not a lot of parts around for it. Don't laugh....I had a good source of donor parts off of old farm machinery etc around the farm.
