Well maybe, if you have never been to the Falls, you owe it to yourself to visit at least once. We were there in the summer of 2005, and to say the Falls is awesome is an understatement. However the area around the Falls has taken on a carnival like atmosphere and leaves something to be desired for visitors. I was insulted by the trash and clutter in and around the Falls, and I was ashamed to take my friend and his wife from Ireland there on a visit. All that aside, if you want to see an awesome wonder of nature, the Niagara Falls will not disappoint. We did manage to have a good meal and cold beer at the Hard Rock Cafe. On our way there and back, we saw untold numbers of bikes making the treck to the Falls via I-90. The Falls area is easy to find, just get yourself a map, and follow I-90 east into New York state, you can't miss it. As a side note, we stopped on the way home from the Falls at the Geneva State park just off of I-90 at the junction of Ohio Rt 534 and I-90. We found Geneva State park and the marina there to be pristine clean and the view of Lake Erie to be every bit as awesome as the Niagara Falls.

XS, I agree with all you said about the Falls! What a sight, I was glad we made the trip up, but I must re-late the little diplomatic incident on the border between Canada and America? XS, was driving his Blazer and his good lady wife, myself and my better half were sitting enjoying the scenery. We approached the customs border crossing from the American side over the bridge, XS, completely missed the stop sign and followed another car onto the customs concourse. When the Canadian female customs officer had dealt with the car in front, we pulled up to her window! The look on her face would have turned milk sour! She was so bad the tide wouldn't take her out! She gave one look at XS and asked 'Sir is it your intention not to stop at any stop signs in Canada'? I could not contain my laughter for much longer, where upon she asked to see all of our passports. 2 American, 1 Irish and 1 British, what a combination. She scowled at XS for what seemed an eternity but finally stamped our passports and let us enter, but again she chided, 'Sir I would really recommend that you stop at stop signs, even if you don't see them'!

My side of the story is that two wankers were directing traffic and motioned me on thru the stop sign. I think they did that so it made the day for the customs official, that's how she gets her jollies by putting poor Americans like me on the carpet. ;D

What wanker ?? Can't be obscene, I hear it on BBC all the time. The Brits wouldn't put anything obscene on TV would they ? Well maybe.

I just checked the rule book. Yep, "wanker" is permitted. It's only when you use "bloody wanker" that it becomes obscene.

5 Stars for the Falls. We love it! The marina just east of 534 along the lake in Geneva also is a beautiful spot. Great spot to grab a sandwich on the back deck of the restaurant overlooking the Marina.....Don
