If you are looking for someplace to ride that will keep your lady pillion rider happy and gain you a few points, how about Roscoe Village? Roscoe is an old restored Erie Canal town located in Coshocton Ohio, and is first class when it comes to suggested destinations on my list. This little town features the canal town as it was during the peak days of the Erie Canal, it also features rides on a horse drawn canal boat, canoe livery, a full size canal boat in dry dock on display, Captain Nye's Sweet shop, restaurants, a working black smith shop and many, many little shops to browse. To get there from the Canton/Akron/Alliance area, take Rt 77 south to Rt 30 going west and hook up with Rt 62 going south to Millersburg. Just south of millersburg, take RT 83 south to Coshocton and follow the signs leading to Roscoe village. The ride down to Roscoe is a big plus as part of the trip, it will take you thru the heart of Amish country and some very beautiful scenery, not to mention all the places to visit in Holmes county. The quick way home after a day at Roscoe would be to take Rt 36 east to Rt 77 north and back to Canton/Akron/Alliance. Plan all day for this trip of about 175 miles, because there is a lot to see. My friend worked as a leather worker at Roscoe when he was in college. He sure learned a bunch about leather.
