Its 82F at 10am. Will be in the 90's today. I like to ride with jacket, gloves, helmet as a minimum. It makes it awfully warm.

I said 90 but I do ride when it's hotter depending where I'm going, and when I plan on being back.

90 is too hot if I'm wearing my mesh jacket, gloves and helmet. I rode to the gas station and back in my tee shirt, shorts and sneakers, it wasn't too hot riding like that, but I didn't feel safe.
My wife had a few choice words to say about me riding with no helmet. I think I will limit my rides without a helmet to once a season. ;D

Since I refuse to ride without a helmet, jeans and boots ... my riding in 90 degree heat is pretty limited! The only way to feel cool in this heat with a helmet is to drench your head in ice-cold bottles of water before putting the helmet back on!

Jen, what if the rider doesn't have hair....not much to drench ;D

xs, I understand what your saying, that would only keep my ears cool. Guess I could wet down my Slick head cover.

You can always soak down the inside of the helmet or your "buff"!
