ODOT just finished paving this fun little 14 mile loop.I started on 260 where it turns north off of 26,stay on 260 to the little town of Marr.At Marr take a right onto 537...537 will take you back to 26.
Since they put the "speed bumps" in 536 this little loop has become one of my favorite twisty rides.
And it's right in the same area as a lot of other good twisty roads...536,556 and 255. BTW,255 will be closed at Langs until July 9.

This looks like one to add to the 'to do' list!

Two weeks ago 536 was all good except 100+ golf ball sized pine cones in one corner.

Denny, what did you mean when you said they put "speed bumps" on Rt 536 ? A couple years ago, right after the winter thaw, there was about ten spots that felt like bad expansion joints.I can't remember if they cut the pavement out in those spots and re-paved,or if it just heaved up due to the winter freeze. But these bumps really took a lot of the fun out of 536. When I was over there in March, they had fixed some of the bad spots on the west end...from hondascoot's post,it sounds like they got 'em all fixed. That sounds good because because I love that 536,556,26 loop

Yesterday I finally got a chance to ride my favorite S.E.O. loop...260,537,26,800,255,7.Everything survived the winter in pretty good shape. The only bad spots I saw were three slips on 255,two in the northbound lane about 5 miles south of Langs and one in the southbound lane just north of Sardis.Other than that everything was pretty clean and smooth. I love this loop...it has it all,non-stop twisties, high peeks with great views,a beautiful valley(just south of Langs),the big river, and stretchs of creek following roads. What a ride.
