As well know as Ohio is for it's great motorcycle roads, Tennessee Route 32 is my favorite. maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=100719620543189507861.00048942547b730cfec97&ll=35.748741,-83.208046&spn=0.125386,0.220757&z=12 It is located on the northern border of the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. It is hands down the twistiest paved road I have ridden. It makes the "Tail of the Dragon" feel like lazy sweepers. It has a series of switch backs that goes on for miles with little change in elevation. Basically it follows the curves of a mountain. You don't need a big bike as 20 mph in the tight corners is dragging hard parts and 45 mph in the straights will make you wonder how much heat your brakes can dissipate. Not my video but will gives a good example: www.youtube.com/watch?v=57ksiEbl-mEThis serpent turns to gravel at the North Carolina border which is equally as challenging. This area is REMOTE. Take a friend, fuel, water, food, etc... Enjoy!

Have you ridden Rt 536 north from the Ohio River ? I have only ridden 536 in both directions once this month. Did it covered in mud with full knobbies! Did it lowered with Kool Paint! Did it with a 17 year old in tiger fur!

Scoot, next time you are heading for the dirt, let me know, I'm about 40 miles west of you.
I have bikes with floor boards, knobbies and street tires.

Jennifer and I muscled our 1100 V-Stars up Rt 536 along with a couple of Kawasaki Connies. Jennifer was dragging floorboards the whole way. I was wondering where you found a safe place along Rt 536 to catch a few photos, that road is too dangerous to stop on.
Have you ridden county road 56 north from Rt 7 at the Ohio river ? Or have you ridden Rt 164 southwest from Salineville to south of the Atwood area ? Both are good rides.

I was wondering where you found a safe place along Rt 536 to catch a few photos North end were it "T"s into Rt 78. This sign is photo worthy. Hey, some one has liberated the 536 sign! Have you ridden county road 56 north from Rt 7 at the Ohio river ? Or have you ridden Rt 164 southwest from Salineville to south of the Atwood area? CR 56 Nope - SR 164 Yup "The Best Road" has always eluded me. Or perhaps it's the one leading home?

Try Cr 56 if you get the chance, if you follow your nose north, you will end up on Apollo Rd and Rt 644 near Kensington. It's a good ride for a dual-sport. Kinda rough on a cruiser.

OK - I get it. Favorite road close to home preferably in Ohio. Bergholz OH to Rt 7 at the Ohio River maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=100719620543189507861.0004896c401867f7d58a2&ll=40.549287,-80.752945&spn=0.219654,0.441513&z=11 CR 53 is killer twisty with elevation changes and an off camber switch back. It has great pavement and is fun on any street legal bike. Watch for Amish Buggies, Road Apples, and Gravel in the corners. SR 213 is also twisty with steep down hill tight corners when riding North. It has one switch back just south of Hammondsville that is really tight. There is a very nice Rest Area where 213 "T"s into Route 7 at the Ohio River. Rest rooms and picnic area are maintained by the state.

This is "Ride Ohio", but we want to hear about any and all good roads worth riding. One never knows when we will be close to a good road one of our members has ridden. Doesn't matter if it's in Tennessee, Ohio or where ever.

I'd post my favorite roads but you guys wouldn't ride them since they haven't been paved or graded since the invention of rubber tires...
