I had a 'near miss' last evening so I'm posting up some reminders for you all, as well as to remind myself! Tips for riding a motorcycle safely — Give yourself space and time to respond to other motorists’ actions. — Be visible. Remember that motorists often have trouble seeing motorcycles and reacting in time. — Be aware of the blind spots cars and trucks have. Avoid weaving between lanes. Signal your next move in advance. — Watch for turning vehicles. — Know and follow the rules of the road, and stick to the speed limit. — Make sure your headlight works and is on day and night. Use reflective strips or decals on your clothing and on your motorcycle. — Flash your brake light when you are slowing down and before stopping. If a motorist doesn’t see you, don’t be afraid to use your horn. — Dress for safety: proper helmet, eye protection, long-sleeved clothing, gloves, and over-the-ankle boots. — Get formal training and take refresher courses.

Bimbo blond in black BMW. Came into my lane with no signal, no warning, no checking her mirrors etc etc. I had to clamp the brakes hard. I was worried about getting rear ended by the car behind me. I got lucky this time.
