Great photo's I know what you mean about a harsh winter, it's nice today and I have been out and about as I have at last got my new seat fixed to my Sporty. Money well spent in this case. It's way more comfortable.
Anyway Bill, from one Old Bill to another, great photo's just to show that they have not got all the nice places to ride on their side of the Atlantic!

OK Denny - you asked for it!! I'll fire a few other ride albums in from last year now that Photobucket and I are seeing eye to eye. On that day I was astride the Wee Strom (Blue tank) and the boats are at the mouth of Strangford Lough - a salt water inlet between Portaferry and Strangford villages. They reach each other by a ferry over quite volatile waters as the tides peak. It is usual to see the ferry going sideways as it addresses the tidal rush. The scenery I agree is nice but - Hey!! Ohio certainly isn't lacking on that front. It has been said by a famous Irishman "The Irish scenery is the best in the world though that opinion is expressed by the Irish who have never left Ireland." There is something about the home sod though!

Denny - might I add as you have visited the sacred turf - The lough is about 70 miles north of Dublin on the east coast and about 30 miles north of the Northern/Southern border.

I love seeing rides like this. Thanks for posting it. This one is great. We have a few secondary roads like this here, but they are a rare find.

bllyhen, is this narrow road a typical road that automobile traffic would use? It seems very narrow. The only roads that narrow around here are called alleys and are only used for access to some garage or similar and not for actual driving public.

Sorry I didn't reply to this earlier - it somehow slipped through due to some serious distractions back here. There are a fair number of narrow roads like this particularly in the border areas between Northern Ireland and Eire (sometimes called Proper Ireland though I wouldn't dare). You have to sometimes look for them though the GPS helps. Our roads generally are narrower than those I found in Ohio but then our cars are diddy little things compared to most of yours. You need economy when gas is currently around $1.45 a litre and annual road tax is about to go up to about $600 or more on the bigger vehicles. I think in Bill's part of Ireland taxation is even worse.
