Hotcakes and I made it to Windber and had a great time. We went a couple of days early and put a few miles on the Ultra on Thursday and Friday.(More on our stops later) This was our set-up - truck, trailer, Ultra, X-90s, and the Bobber. There were a lot more people attending the event this year and most of them camped. This is a family event and it is a very inexpensive and fun weekend. Not a mini but worthy of a photo. The owner made a mold and then popped the fiberglass body. The parade in town is always fun and we had plenty of adults and kids to participate. The bike show was on Sunday and there were a lot of nice old minis and special vehicles on display.

We entered all 3 bikes and won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I do not know which bike won which award but that is OK. The Bobber was a hit.

Cool pics X-90 !! Why didn't you bring that Whizzer motorbike home for me. I could re-live my youth. ;D
Congrats on winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd !! That just about says it all doesn't it.

We rode up north to Gallitzen and checked out the old caboose. It is open and you are able to walk in and investigate the original contents. Unfortunately it is in very bad condition but they are raising money to totally refurbish it.

We rode the Ultra down south and went to Old Bedford Village. It is set up like an old town with about 40 buildings. There was a covered bridge at the entrance. The old buildings were really cool and each one was set-up differently. Schoolhouse How about a guitar or violin. I was thinking about Shoe. ;D Most building have no electricity so they make and use their own candles. At one time there must have been some unruly bikers because they even had a Jail. The Blacksmith was making small spoons from horseshoe nails. The Tinsmith Shop was a busy place. Overall it was a nice afternoon. We spent several hours at the village and the volunteers even live in some of the buildings.
