Not exactly Ohio riding but started out here:-) Should count for something.
Ok Brian, quit wiping the dew from your bike and lets roll...I made all this effort to be at your house on time:-)....where are we going?..oh oh we didn't think of that....tried and true rides..naw. Lets go to Madison IN,Settled. We ride( like a bucking horse) down RT128 from Colerain Township to RT 50 west where we go thru Lawrenceburg and Aurora IN which were sleepy little river towns till the riverboat casinos came in and we were happy to get out of town till we got to Dillsboro and RT62 which put us in the Norman Rockwell part of life, beautiful town, clothes hanging out, well kept houses and yards...what America is about. We are on RT62 now
It is a bit of a great motorcycle road
Not to far along we come across Friendship,A big flea market area,a Boy Scout camp and a Mussle loaders
gun club in this small but beautiful community where I was waved at a couple of times and as you leave and enter they have a great sign..
As you leave....try that in a big town and let the law suits begin.
As we continued west we were treated to excellent roads, non exisitant traffic and array of hollows and hills and creeks(cricks)..just a perfect ride. RT 62 but that on your kick back ride list.
We made it to Madison IN where we both had the # 1 at Frisches for breakfast....perfect as always. A bit further west we dropped down on RT 7 to RT 56,big elevation drop to the Ohio River and the more traditional historic part of town. There is a nice road that follows the river with parks and all kind of things to see.

This last picture really show the difference between some of the new bikes and the older UJM bikes...seat height, engine configuration, the Shadow has a just poking along look while my XS1100 has that stallion look to it,it wants to go and go now.
A couple of other pics fro the ride...
From Madison we picked up RT 56 and headed east which is another road made for motorcycles.....a bit more tame than RT.62 but still a good ride. We made it back home safely, the Shadow and my '80 1100 ran great....all and all with the weather....
"PERFECT"
Hope you enjoyed.
