No wonder you were sliding. Your rear tire is almost bald.

What do you mean bald? The factory put that on when they built it :)It has maybe a thousand miles on it,metzler 880,still showing the chicken strip.I was getting up off the floor after draining the oil and with the boot I have to wear it is very difficult and I grabbed the bike for stability and I weebl wobbled when I should have just wobbled and down it went, lucky not on me.Not being able to pick it up any more is what ##^^%# me off.

Bike is up on the main stand now and I will finish the oil change tomorrow, jeeeze that oil was dirty but that is good as it means it was doing its job. Can't use syn in it as that would make the clutch slip and blow out some seals so I just have some Wally World oil. I hope to ride enough this year to have to change it a couple more times Not being on my bike for over a year....it feels great to just to be able to get in the saddle again and sit in the garage. The 31st I will have had this bike 34 years!!! Who would have thought that.

Hope you're able to ride again soon. I go nuts not being able to ride over the winter months. Can't imagine if I couldn't ride now too.

Going over a year without riding was not hard when you are in the hospital or feel like #### and then on crutches you just wanna get better Finished my oil change, fixed a bolt on the luggage rack and discovered a small crack around one of the fairing mounting bolts, guess I better learn how to fix it :)Buddy who picked up my bike for me.

Took a ride on the 11 last night for 45 miles of smiles, all interstate but in the saddle. Bike ran great, turn signal problems, kinda don't always go blinkity blink.Had a deer run in front of me about 100 yards ahead and into on coming traffic and got splattered..better a car than me.Scary.

Here is a 650 for you XS,I would have gotten closer and a better angle but on crutches I am afraid of falling or dropping a crutch and hurting a bike:-)

Nice XS-650 Amtrak...is that for sale ? That is the first year of the old XS-650s. I still have my XS-650H stored in the garage. I won't part with it.
