Lets start thinking about a group ride for the spring. I propose a ride starting from our usual place in Millersburg and heading down south on US60 to Zanesville. We would then take OH555 for around 45 to 50 miles then head back up to Mcconnelsvile. We would then take OH 78 east towards I-77. We would plan a stop at the Miners Memorial park where the shovel from Big Muskie is on display. The ride would end at OH 78 and I -77. We would be on our own to get home from there. The ride would be around 135 miles. Let me know your thoughts. I'll pin down a date later. Also I'm am still willing to put a ride together to the Blue Ridge Parkway sometine in late summer. Let me know if anyone is interested in this.

Sounds like a good route Jeffe. When you say "Spring Ride", can you give a guess as to how early this Spring ?

Mid May and later should be ok, the daylight hours should be long enough. Some of us geezers don't like to ride home in the dark on unfamiliar roads. I always get a feeling there is a deer waiting behind a tree until the right moment so he can jump out in front of me. ;D

Sounds good to me... as long as it's at least 70 degrees!

Sounds GREAT to me. Not too early in the morning, I don't do fog well. Same for all the deer in my neck of Marietta.

Sounds like a really great ride -- roads I haven't tried yet.

That is a great route and the ride was nice temp wise in May - We did that a couple years ago when I was still riding "Blue"... the leaves were just starting to bud out...! Big Muskie bucket... Wahoo was not with us... but could have been after we left Flanagan's.
