Every year at this time we hear horror stories about high gas prices on the horizon for the summer riding season. This year they are predicting gas prices will reach $5.00 per gallon.
The question is the same as last year..."Will $5.00 per gallon curtail your riding, or keep you from riding altogether ?

We are currently paying €1.56 a litre X 4 for a gallon then add on the difference between the Euro and the dollar which is 28% we are paying way over that already and we are still riding! Maybe you should all buy high gas mileage Fiat's?

It's cheaper to ride the bike than drive the truck.

I would rather ride to work than drive my car. with the possible exception of riding in cold weather. car has a better heater.

If gas prices would curtail MY riding - I would be trapped in Ohio for the winter. NOT much chance of that, when Florida is ideal for riding in the winter. Now, the roads are not as interesting, but you can find a few nice ones now and then. The seafood restaurants is what I may have to cut out tho...

Gas at $5.00 a gallon is still cheaper than a therapist.
I will still be riding.

How many time have we been told that gas prices could reach $5 per gallon by mid summer? At least the last three years so as of right now i'm not going to worry about it.
