Hi everyone, I am 46 and love to ride my GL1800. I was a painter for 20+ years and then retired as the wife's business was able to more than pay the bills. After working myself constantly, the wife said I needed a hobby so I started back collecting C&R firearms and now it turned into another business (so much for retirement). The good thing is during riding season I can normally take off anytime I want since I do this out of our home and the busy season is through the winter months with all the Bill Goodman gun shows.
I am glad I found this forum as it seems more bike friendly and no preconceived notions of people for what they ride. I checked out another Ohio forum and seemed they all rode a certain kind of ride and the cussing turned me off as I sometimes troll around with my son. I also belong to the GWRRA but the chapter I now belong to seems to tight nit and I feel like I do not belong and they are not interested as much into actual saddle time versus meeting time.
I like to ride and am looking for people to ride with!

Well for a second there i thought that we had someone else from this side of the pond.
Hello from Ireland, sorry the distance prohibits me in joining any of the group rides, but hopefully in the not to distant future i will be able to attend.
This is a very well behaved, well mannered site, that has some very interesting members.

Welcome to Ride Ohio toddfff, glad to have you with us. We'd love to see some pics of you and your bike, and hear about the places you ride. We are a small group, but I think you will find some of the best bikers on the planet right here.
I started this web site as a way of keeping busy when I retired. There were 4 or 5 of us who started riding together back in 2007. The site is "G" rated for two reasons, the first reason is that I wanted this site suitable for anyone to view it, the second reason is that Proboards has very specific guidelines on what they will or will not allow on their sites. Proboards provides the site free, I pass that along to the members.
We hope you enjoy our site, feel free to post photos and make comments. There are complete instructions for uploading photos on the Rules and Regulations page.
Again, welcome to Ride Ohio.

Welcome from the North Coast.
Our son is a Miami alum (class of 2007). We always enjoyed visiting Oxford, but there was just no easy way to get there from Sandusky area.
If you ever get up to Lake Erie, give us a shout.

I also stopped buy the Preble County Historical Society and picked up the "covered bridge ride" directions. It goes to all seven bridges and back to eaton. I missed the Bridges, Bikes and blues ride because of the rain this year. I am also looking to do the Indiana wine trail as well.
