It's mostly a combination of excessive drinking, immaturity and an uncontrolled situation. Unfortunately, the cops are often more reactive than proactive. Back in the day, we were allowed in bars at their age and the bouncer would have tossed us out on our heads before it every got to that point.
It seems to happen every few years. Last round of "riots" were out at the University Townhouses. Next year you will see the cops and University do preventative things and the parties will die down for a while. Then just as they think it is all under control and they relax a bit, it happens again.

Yep, the circle of life in a College Town.
University Of New Hampshire has the same issues.
Last one was over a hockey loss.
Hope you got some riding in, the weather was beautiful here all weekend while I was building a deck

Is that where you are originally from, NH? Yes, we did get some spur of the moment riding in and it was pretty nice. I hope the deck was yours and now you can enjoy it all summer or you made some nice money doing it for somebody else. I wanted hubby to finish our screen porch, but I am not a hard sell to let him blow it off and go for a ride! I think he knows that too !

Yes , came here from Kingston NH to Twin Lakes (Kent).
It was my deck and its one of those projects you just want done so we can start enjoying it.
We figure after that is done we can have all the weekend days free to explore

We rode our bikes through the northern part of NH a few years ago and it is a beautiful area. Went up Mt. Washington and continued on to Acadia National Park in Maine. The Old Man collapsed a year or 2 before we got there so we did not get to see him.
