 HOG Chapter Dublin Ireland
« Thread Started on Mar 1, 2008, 12:40pm »

went over the the presentation for the new HOG Chapter in Dublin. Interesting enough, no discount on parts but seems to be more for the social side of bikes?

I will join as it offers a chance to meet like minded people. The one thing I did notice was the age profile for most of the people that turned up was close enough to my own age group no youngsters at all. Any way heres a few photos from the bike park outside of the Harley dealership. Mine is the small blue one at the end of the line!

Plenty of people turned up, but it was raining so that didn't help.

Looks good Bill, thanks for sharing the photos.. Well, did you meet any new riding buddies today ? I have to say, it looks like a prosperous group, those are not inexpensive motorcycles in those photos. I don't know why I thought it was a small motorcycle shop, it looks to be the biz. In my opinion, Harley Davidson is alive and well in Ireland. If you do any riding with them, we will expect a full report.

Find out if they rent motorcycles by the week.

I don't know about prosperous! The Sporty didn't cost that much and what I sold the Thunderbird for it paid for the Harley. It was good to see all the Harley's out, the showroom is quite big and it's situated on 3 floors, basement houses all the used bikes they have for sale, the ground floor has all the new models and the upper floor has a couple of bikes on display but thats where the coffee is to be found! Thats also where they had the HOG presentation.

I didn't really get a chance to talk to too many people. As I said a pretty much older age group of riders, no teenagers or early to mid 20's I would say mostly over 40. Some very nice bikes parked up out front of the shop. I left with a couple of other riders and made my way home via the M50, It was strange to be among other riders again and some of them where quite loud! The look on some of the car drivers faces was funny as a couple of them were very open mouthed about seeing a few HD's on the road together.

Another of the bikes parked up yesterday, this one has a theme paint work done on it from the Childrens TV show from the 60's 'Magic Roundabout'

Bill,

It looks like your Harley dealer is big enough to support the HOG Program. You should have a good time - the HOG events are usually a lot of fun and the price is always right. 8-)

Best of luck to the New Dublin Chapter, from HAW

Sorry I had to edit your web address, this is a "G" rated site. Not that we are prudes here, but we do have to adhere to Proboard's guidelines.

Apologies are in order,
Explanation, When I Googled Dublin Hog Chapter in Ireland your Chapter popped up and when I seen the photos of The New Dublin Chapter I assumed they had a Harley Forum but I was wrong.
I would in no way offend the good buddies of OHIO MC by posting my web site address and so I withdraw gracefully with my head between my legs.
Hope you all have a Happy St Patricks Day on March 17th

No need to apologize. This isn't a Harley site, but we have plenty of Harleys here, as a matter of fact we have a good mix of bikes. I sent you an e-mail, hope you stick around and show us some Dublin bikes.
